PRESENTATIONS & RETREATS
CONVERSATIONS BETWEEN GENERATIONS
January 14, 6:30-8:30 pm - Cranaleith Spiritual Center (Zoom)
Categorizing people by their generation can be useful in some ways, but it can also blind us to our common humanity. What do younger people really care about? Do older people have a dream for the future? Are “they” all alike? Join in a Spirit-infused evening of conversation about the “big picture” questions of life as well as pressing issues of our day.
To help enrich your personal relationships beyond this evening, please sign up with a friend or relative from another generation (ages 18+), so you can be partnered with him/her during the conversations. However, if you do not have a discussion partner from another generation, please feel comfortable registering; we’ll match you up.
ADVENT BY CANDLELIGHT
December 4, 7:00-8:00pm - Old Saint Joseph's Church (Zoom)
Join us to "make room" for God. In this holy season, in our solitude and in our longing, God comes toward us. Let us lean toward the Light, the Gracious Giver, the God of Hope. Preparing our hearts involves preparing spaces of prayer, even in our homes. We invite you to create a sacred corner in your home for this hour: clear the clutter, turn off the noise, light a candle, and bring a cup of tea. Come to listen, share, pray and savor the silence in communion with others who are longing to claim the beautiful gift Advent offers us. Together, in solidarity with all those longing for light on the journey, we lean closer to God.
